Fearless by Max Lucado

Just received a book by book sneeze. What an amazing book to read. Everybody has fear going through life and don’t have the answer or advice to go by. Ever thought about living life without fear. Lucado describes almost every fear one person goes through in life, and gives his upmost advice on them. As for myself I would have to admit that I’ve had and have quite a bit of fear when it comes to life, and I doubt I will find anybody who says they live life with no fear. After reading this book I have looked at certain fears in a different perspective but yet I still have some that aren’t solved. Every stage in your life you will go through a fear from your career, your love life, the economy and the list goes on. This book will help you tremendously in fears of life. I would recommend this book to everyone and anyone. I have passed on the book to my cousin and she is also amazed how wonderful this book is and she hasn’t even finished reading it. I would strongly suggest that you go to the book store and buy it, it’s worth reading. Thank you for reading my review.

A Girl’s Guide to Life by Katie Meiers

Once again Book Sneeze sends me another amazing book. A Girl’s Guide to Life by Katie Meiers. To start off I love the way the front cover of this books looks like. I know you’re not supposed to judge a book by its cover, but it was just a refresh cover page, that you just wanted to start reading.
I got to admit that the first page was an amazing exercise. It tells you to jot down things that you find yourself good at. I did skip that exercise and she got me by telling me to go back and really think about it. I find every single exercise in this book makes a girl/women think about how great of a person she is. This book really enlightened my day.
Katie is very up to date with the situations and challenges female teens and young women deal with. As a 23 year old woman, I can safely say that I found a lot of similarities of situations that I’ve been through and is going through those Katie addressers in her book.
I would also recommended parents to read this book, as it will give them an insight of what their daughters can be going through. As well as the young ladies who do not have someone to turn to or trust, this book would really help them with their self esteem and life in general.
If you are going to read this book, please do the exercises as they will make you realize how much of great women you are.
Thank You for taking the time in reading my review on A Girl’s Guide to Life by Katie Meiers.

Storm Warning - Billy Graham

I just finished reading Strom Warning by Billy Graham. I received this book from Book sneeze to review.
After reading this book, I found it very biblical, spiritual and definitely an eye opener. Billy Graham explains the four horsemen from the book Revaluations. This book being related by the Christian life gives you insights and overviews about the world we live in today, with all the natural disasters, economic crisis, terrorism and conflicts. This book is not only for people who believe in God. I found it to be an eye opener for everybody, no matter what your culture, beliefs, values, and if you’re a believer or a non believer to things that are happening to our world.
This book has been revised so that it relates to this day in age. Each chapter was very interesting and never a dull moment. You will be very into the book and not wanting to even stop reading. I like how Billy graham used his personal life situations to explain what upcoming and current events. Adding situations that happened and were predicted and having to think what is coming up next is quiet scary at times.
I would recommend this book to anybody. This book will give you so much information of how close we are to the end. The signs of what is going to happen are believable in my point of view. Billy Graham will also let you know that we can make it through this life with God on our side.
This is my review on the Storm Warning by Billy Graham. Greatest book read! Thank you for taking your time in reading what I have to say.

Embracing Your Second Calling - Dale Hanson Bourke

Embracing Your Second Calling by Dale Hanson Bourke is reached out for women who are at their “Middle Age” time frame of life. Dale does not only give her insights but also includes biblical readings and passages. Aiming at women who wonder what happens in the next half of their lives.
I as a young adult still had very much interest in this book. I did come through some points were I thought weren’t very interesting and found it quiet annoying but giving it thought there are all different types of women and this book reaches out to all of them. Some parts will be not of interest but I guarantee that any women reading this will have that one part that is reflected in her life.
Dale is embracing her second calling by reaching out to God. She is a woman who has been through a lot of life lessons and challenges. Not only does she just talk about herself. She’s talked to women and gave their point of view of their second calling.
Are you feeling lost? Are you wondering what is you purpose? Are things not going right in your life? Wondering why you are working and pushing so hard for? Wondering what God’s plans are? If you think it is too late to start over think again, read this amazing book and let your soul and mind really get into it. Do the assignments, really read the quotes given around the pages and the reflections.

Slave to Love - Rebecca Campbell

Slave to Love - by Rebecca Campbell. This book I got from the book store. I would like to let people know that its a really great story. The book isn't very long but very interesting.

Alice a young lady that would give anything in the world to continue her career in scientific research, but lands a job in the book department of a lesser London auction house. Alice has to look after her mother that is the only reason she took a job at the London Auction House. Majority of employees at the auction house is British characters that tend to ignore Alice or just make her feel very unwelcomed. Andrew one of the employees at the auction house, an academic expert, who also doesn't quite fit in the workplace. Andrew falls for Alice and trys his will power to win her heart. She ends up falling for Andrew but before anything can happen Edward Lynden, the owner of a rare Audubon Folio, sweeps Alice off her feet. Alice falls deeply into Edward but later finds out that she has some serious competition. Hearts are broken, spirits are lifted.

A novel that has a rollercoaster of life love lessons. Campbell has made a novel filled with overtones and overly dramatic characters.

If you ever get a chance. Try to read this book. It is really good.

Thanks

P.S I Love You - Cecelia Ahern

Once again another amazing book read. Cecelia Ahern is a really great Author especially at a young age. This novel has been put into a film I believe about 2 years ago. I can't wait to watch the movie, if the book is soo amazing imagine what the movie would be like.

P.S I Love is about Holly and Gerry, two young adults that have been together since junior high school (High School Sweethearts). Eventually they got married and he always promised her that if was to ever pass away he would leave her with a list. Holly not knowing what this list consists of, didn't want to experience it because she just couldn't think about living without her husband (Gerry).

Unforuntely two months after Gerry has paased away. After more then fifteen years of knowning her husband, Gerry at only thirty years had a brain tumor. Holly hurt by the loss of her husband, can not think about leaving the house even after a few months. She then receives a phone call from her mother telling her that a package has came in with her name on it with the word list written above it. After looking throught the package, Holly relized Gerry with all his will gave her a ten month list to help her regain her self back. Gerry loved her so much, he wanted his loving wife to be able to live without him. Holly gives in and begins to follow Gerry's list with only one enveloped opened every month.

Holly is a very brave person in this story, getting sympathy from her friends and family was still not enough to overcome it all. But with the help of her dead husband she is given the strength to return to the living. Gerry knowningly when he will die, planned for what he could do to get his beloved Holly out of her depression.

This book is so powerful story that really focuses on grieving and healing. It is so powerful this novel will not leave anyone dry-eyed. This is a book I recommend for alot of readers. Its a life learning lesson, that each and everyone of us have trouble to over come.

Once again Thank you for reading through my thoughts and review.

The Italian's Inexperienced Mistress - Lynne Graham

I've received the The Italian's Inexperienced Mistress book from Harlequin Ambassadors to review. This particular book really aims for the audience that like romance and somewhat suspense.

At the beginning of the book I wasn't so interested but I never just read the beginning I always complete the books that I receive because you never know how interesting it will be. All I can say is this book blew me away, never knew how great a storyline can be. Let me begin by saying thanks for taking the time to read my review on The Italian's Inexperienced Mistress.

He (Angleo Riccardi) a self made billionaire with honor. Angelo has the usual hard luck childhood. Angelo's mom struggled from being a single parent, he then found out from from a man he's never knew as his grandfather, that his mother left his father and moved to London where she proceeds to have an affair with a married man. A man who took her life savings and made her poor. Angelo makes it his goal to get revenge at the Hamilton Family so he embarks on a journey to England to bring the family down.

Her (Gwenna Hamilton) a very innocent and pretty blue eyed with golden curls girl. Very into her gardening. Finds out that her father has some heavy kept secrets. Gwenna living with her father as well as her step-mother and step- sisters that she totally dislikes, Keeps herself busy by taking care of her greenhouse, that she hopefully wishes to make it opened for the public. Falling for her best friend that ends up coming out that he is gay, she always imagine about losing her virginity to the person she falls in love with and marries. Well that's all about to change.

As Angelo makes his way down to England to meet with Mr. Hamilton (Gwenna's Father. Not capable to find the estate (little did he know it was in front of his eyes) he came across a lovely English girl and is mesmerized by her and asks her out but she bluntly says NO!, Even though shes never seen such a handsome man in her life as she seen Angelo. Days after he finds out that they lovely lady he just met was Mr. Hamilton's Daughter. Wanting to put her father in prison, Angelo finds his way to manipulate Gwenna to becoming his mistress in order to keep her father from going to prison.

Angelo is kinda cold as far as Love and as for sex he's all for it. Angelo always gave designer clothing, accessories and as well as a nice house to Gweena, but she preferred gardening and mucking about with her plants. Little does Angelo know he's falling for her.

Trying to get Angelo to get tired of her and her innocence very quickly didn't seem to work. As he kept telling him self that is just for sex, he can not control his love for Gwenna. Gwenna getting irritated, feeling abused and ashamed by Angelo she starts to grow feelings herself. Finding out that her father's crimes were against her, will she start caring about him getting prosecuted?

All I can say is the books get intense and the end in a great ending. As their relationship develops there are all sorts of obstacles and emotional confusions. Its a very well written and told book and I highly recommend it to anybody.

Once again Thank you for reading my review (blog) And I will be publishing much much more.

The Real World D.C

Last month as I was flipping through channels, I came across MTV. The Real World D.C show was giving (Just caught it on time 2 mins late into the show) I've always heard about this reality show but never really watched it. I thought why not give it a shot and see whats it really about. So I've been watching it for about a month and thought I should write a blog on it.

It's a pretty decent reality t.v shows. If your into drama and life learning lessons then this show is just for you.
What it is, is 7-8 chosen people to live in a magnificent house together for 3 months in a certain state. This one is in Washington D.C. There is a mixture of male and females, this season is a total of 8 people,4 Females and 4 Males. Each character has completely different personalities and there way of living is not so much the same.

Andrew which is in his early twenties from Denver, Colorado is a very bubbly type of person, loves to create comic books as well as paint. He is know for his politically incorrect comics and his tendency to create tension between the other roommates. Andrew states that he likes the young blonde and dizty type of girls, hoping to find one in D.C since having the worst break up back home, by a cheating Girlfriend. The first couple of episodes he doesn't have any luck in finding a sexual partner, but then his luck does come when meeting Andrea at the bar one night. Andrew falls in love with her unknowingly, but has trust issue because of his past. His mother had cheated on his father and his ex-girlfriend did the same to him, since then he hasn't trusted any females. Learning how to deal with his trust issues, Andrea helps him through it all. She then causes him to alter his casual approach to sex. Andrew then lands an opportunity to become a cartoonist for the Washington Times newspaper. They give him the opportunity to join one of the news reporters at Washington Times Newspaper, to go into the White House and meet and greet with Barack Obama and be in on one of his announcements about the economy. He is given the job to create a cartoon for the article on Barack Obama's announcements. Having a dead line on the project he does not complete it on time, as he is put under pressure from phone calls from his boss, he then puts his partying and social life to a hold, completes the drawing and is then issued on the Washington Times Newspaper. As his employer noticed he still has to mature and learn how to work on timely schedules he then fires Andrew and wishes good luck for the future. Andrew has been the cast member to undergo the greatest change. Andrew is also known as "Panda" since majority of the show he has worn this panda hat. Enough about Andrew lets go to another Cast member (they might not be as long, Andrew has been the most memorable)

Ashley one of four female member in the house is from Houston, Texas but born and raised in Fort Bragg, California. Since a child her and her family has suffered from violence at the hands of her step-father. She always seeks to find closeness with her family and friends. Throughout the show she hopes to seek that closeness with her roommates but finds herself in situations that makes her feel unwelcomed. Her roommates find her a bit rude and also describes her as "Hot Temper and a Blunt Demeanor". Being so religious and really into politics, She finds her self in some heavy discussions. She is newly single and takes advantage of it in D.C(even though she never really carried a relationship in the entire season)

Callie another female in the household is from Huntsville, Texas. Callie is a small town girl and a aspiring photographer. As a child he had endured in living in warehouses and junkyards. Callie seemed to always have a struggle with her body type (even though she looks good to me). She hopes to find a career in D.C with her creativity in Photography. She then landed a job at the Washington Blade, and is still presently working there. She has a hard time finding someone to be cared and loved by, since her self-esteem is so high. Her ex-boyfriend gave a her a way of thinking about men that is not so positive. As her roommates try to get her to stop calling her ex while she is in D.C she has a hard time letting go. At the end of the season she has changed as a person, she does seem like she has gained a numerous amount of self-esteem and confidence. Being the backbone of Erika (another female in the household) she tried her hardest to keep Erika from going home, but then gave up because she felt betrayed.

Emily again one of the other females, is from Columbia, Missouri. She's an open-minded, "daredevil nature" which searched for new experiences to broaden her horizons, an attitude that carries over to her dating habits. Her and Ty (one of the male roommates) have alot in common are not opposites at all. As she bumps heads with Ty alot they do end up having a Sexual Relationship at the beginning of the Season. Emily being capable of putting her feelings aside and letting go of the sexual relationship with Ty causes enormous conflict as well as physical confrontations. She is an athletic tomboy, who uses sports to transition to a more secular life. Emily expressed an openness to the possibility of bisexuality, though she concedes that she tends to push people away because of her commitment issues. I found Emily to be the most boring cast member, I didn't think she grew much in having the experience in D.C.

Erika last but not least ( well least in my opinion) of the females, is from Chicago, Illinois. Erika is a singer, songwriter and guitarist. Before the show she was in a group called A Quiet Capture. I found her to be the centre of attention both professionally and personally. She has a history in depression, which she lets her roommates know about. She lets her history haunt her and challenge her while staying in D.C. During the season you can tell she goes through alot of frustration and discomfort. She gets the chance to have an interview with a Music Producer but fails to land the job, having that happen to her she starts to fall into recurring depression. Erika has to have it her way, if not she tends to start crying and making a scene in front of her roommates, which everyone of them are getting sick of. She eventually moves out once her boyfriend comes to visit her, as she can't take the "pressure". I found Erika as one of the most annoying cast member. I was sort of happy that she had left the show, it would of been great to see her grow and overcome her fears of depression.

Josh is one of the male roommates, he is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is a songwriter, singer, and dancer, specializing in glam rock, rap and punk music. He comes to D.C to seek a career in Solo Project (in singing). Josh in my opinion is the most well dressed male and has the bad boy look (which most girls fall for)He concedes that his attraction to women is his main weakness, which make it difficult to stay faithful to his girlfriend of three years. Josh ends up finding a job in bartending and then moves in to bigger and better things, by getting a band together and naming it Wicked Liquid. Even though his roommates think he doesn't sound so good at singing solo, they then see that he sounds great in a band when he performs with his new band (Wicked Liquid). I found Josh to be a little to conceded, and rude.

Mike another male roommate, is from Thornton, Colorado. Mike comes from a very religious family. For the past several years Mike has been questioning his sexuality, and recently came out as bisexual. Coming from such a religious family this cause major conflict with his loved ones, but finds his way of putting the negative aside and living his life with his decision and not what media puts out there. Mike came to D.C to be an environmentalist, but unexpectedly became an activist for LGBT as well as Human Rights Campaign and Energy Action Coalition. Having Ashley as his closest religious roommate, he gets guidance from her and providing common grounds. Mike experience his sexuality in D.C, having freedom in bringing a male back to the house whenever he wanted, made up his mind about his sexuality. He then announces that he is gay. Mike has commented that he has always dreamed in getting married but "Under God" that may be in doubt. Mike gets really jealous when Andrew gets to go to the White House and meet Barack Obama, he starts to get childish but he then learns how to control it. I find Mike to be one of the most growing people in the house. He gave me an insight on how hard it is to come out with your sexuality.

Last but not least of the Male cast member TY, from Baltimore, Maryland. Ty was abandoned by his parents at a very young age, which leads to his aggressiveness. He stated that he lived in a series of foster homes before being adopted. I find him to be a well spoken, focused type of guy. Being brought up in the United Church of Christ, he comes to be a atheist who thinks people who believe in God are Narrow Minded. Being that way causes him to get into conflicts with Ashley and Mike. Ty does end up having a Drinking problem and one night him being intoxicated caused him to through Andrew off the porch ledge that sits more then 6 feet of the ground. Roommates end up confronting him in a house meetings and gave him the option that A he stops drinking because he gets to aggressive or B to go home. Admitting he has a drinking problem the then takes route A. But not long before he then picks up another drink, Emily being the girl in the household which he is having a sexual relationship with and cares for the most, tells him that picking up that drink could of sent him home and she gets to make that decision. Giving him that other chance to prove to her that he can change his ways to being better. Ty does not accept Mike being Gay but at the end of the season Ty does change for the better and does accept Mike and knows how to control himself with liquor and anger problems.

Overall I think for a reality show, you can learn alot from. Each and every person is different and there is so much life learning lessons that young adults and even adults can learn from. Not every one is perfect, but what is perfect, Its nothing. You are who you are and that is what perfect is (being yourself).

Thank you for reading my blog. For my first Post I'm excited to share more of my thoughts. please comment on what you think about it.

Never knew just flipping through some channels and make me learn something new.

Thank You,

Patricia =) Betty Boop
